1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the LineMeUp mobile application and web services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service, including parents/guardians ("Parents") and school faculty/administrators ("Schools").

2. Description of Service

LineMeUp is a school pickup queue management system that allows:

  • Parents to join a virtual pickup queue when arriving at school
  • Schools to manage and monitor the pickup queue in real-time
  • Real-time notifications when students are ready for pickup
  • Location-based queue entry within designated pickup zones
  • Historical pickup data and reporting for schools

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your account password and for any activities or actions under your account. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Account Types

  • Parent Accounts: For parents/guardians to manage pickup for their children
  • School Accounts: For authorized school personnel to manage the pickup queue

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Use the Service for any purpose other than school pickup management
  • Harass, abuse, or harm another person
  • Collect or store personal data about other users without consent

5. Location Services

The Service uses location data to provide core functionality. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Location access is required to join the pickup queue
  • Your location will be shared with the school during active pickup sessions
  • You must be within the designated pickup zone to join the queue
  • Location accuracy depends on your device and environmental factors

6. School Responsibilities

Schools using the Service agree to:

  • Verify the identity of parents/guardians during initial registration
  • Maintain accurate student and authorized pickup person records
  • Use the Service only for legitimate school pickup management
  • Comply with all applicable privacy and data protection laws
  • Train staff on proper use of the Service
  • Report any security concerns or unauthorized use promptly

7. Parent Responsibilities

Parents using the Service agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about themselves and their children
  • Keep vehicle information up to date
  • Use the queue system as intended for school pickup only
  • Follow school pickup procedures and staff instructions
  • Not share account credentials with unauthorized persons
  • Promptly report any issues or inaccuracies

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by LineMeUp and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without prior written consent.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of any information

LineMeUp does not guarantee the safety or security of students. Schools and parents remain responsible for student safety during pickup.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LINEMEUP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LineMeUp and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including:

  • Breach of these Terms
  • Request by law enforcement or government agencies
  • Extended periods of inactivity
  • Discontinuation of the Service

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to use the Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which LineMeUp operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
